ALICIA SWIM is a conscious luxury swimwear and resortwear brand from Mauritius. More than a brand, ALICIA SWIM is a lifestyle connecting you to a life well lived. Conjuring up memories of a simpler life surrounded by nature, sisterhood and freedom weave a network of roots, all firmly planted in our founder's early memories. Through her brand, Alicia transports you to this tropical paradise where you feel at one with nature, and with yourself.
Our mission is to create sustainable beachwear that empowers women and inspires confidence. Driven by an environmentally conscious and responsible mindset, well-tailored swimsuits are crafted from high performance, high quality, sustainable Italian fabrics. A rawness and a purity run deep as the signature prints paint pictures of exotic escapism in sandy, barefoot bliss. Designs are produced in Mauritius from start to finish. Our vision is to create timeless products while embracing the tailoring expertise of local artisans.
OUR FOUNDER
Alicia Rountree Zannier was born and raised in Mauritius, the tropical island nestled to the east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. The founder and designer of ALICIA SWIM is also an internationally recognised model, author and wellness expert.
An emotional connection to swimwear began with Alicia’s early memories of waking up to jump in the Indian Ocean before school, only to rush home after to dive in again. This combined with Alicia’s eye for detail that saw her absorb intricate details on cuts and designs during her 15-year career as an international fashion model gives ALICIA SWIM a leading edge. The ALICIA SWIM concept incorporates Alicia’s love of Mauritius while also indulging her passion for wellness and the natural world. A skilled painter, Alicia designs the brand’s prints from watercolour sketches inspired by the Mauritian landscape.
Wanting to live more in tune with her body and nature, Alicia attended the world’s largest nutrition school in New York and graduated in 2015 as a certified health coach. In 2020, she published her first book with Rizzoli, “Fresh Island Style”, a refreshing guide for achieving harmony and health in your life that brings to the forefront Mauritian island living through photographs, recipes and lifestyle inspiration. In early 2024, Alicia launched mēditatif, a luxury wellness brand elevating wellbeing through island-inspired natural skincare combined with meditation rituals that promote a positive transformation as part of a daily self-care routine.

DISCOVER OUR PRINTSALICIA SWIM PRINTS are unique to the brand and one of our defining USPs. It was essential for Alicia to share her love of the Mauritian beauty and way of life. All prints are hand painted by Alicia from watercolour sketches. Motifs are unique to the brand and found in Mauritian nature.
